The BESIDE partnership is eager to share the launch of the European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox, which establishes a pan-European framework for regulatory dialogues to increase legal certainty for innovative blockchain solutions. This sandbox offers a trusted environment for regulators and providers of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) to engage and supports the European Commission’s ambition for digital leadership in the Digital Decade. The sandbox will annually support 20 projects, including public sector use cases on the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure, with a focus on use cases beyond the proof-of-concept stage that involve the use of DLT.The BESIDE project encourages innovative public entities and private sector companies in the European Economic Area to apply for the first call for the expression of interest, which will be open until April 14, 2023.
